BioSpectrum, India’s first exclusive magazine on biotechnology, annually conducts an all India survey of biotechnology schools to select top 20 public and private biotech schools separately. The Department of Biotechnology at SILB has been ranked 8th among top private biotech institutes in the results of the Fourth Biotech Schools Survey published in February 2008 issue of BioSpectrum. The parameters taken into account for the study were faculty, industry interface, infrastructure and placements.
